Central America FTA Product E-Promotion Center
The center is designed to introduce Central American countries to the world and promote their image, encourage Free Trade Agreement business opportunities, as well as market Central American fine products online. It is hosted by the Central America Trade Office (CATO), the mission office in charge of Central American trade development affairs in Taiwan.
Promote Central American Countries' Image
Provide country information as well as information on economic development, culture, and tourism resources of Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama in order to enhance their image and appeal on the international stage.
Promote Business Opportunities via Free Trade Agreements
Taiwan has signed free trade agreements with Central American countries and has benefited from duty-free treatment. Due to their close proximity to the United States, Central American countries have enjoyed a long and close trade relationship with the North American country. They have also signed the CAFTA (Dominican Republic, Central America and United States Free Trade Agreement) in order to further strengthen the ties between the regions. These factors combined make Central America the best production base and gateway for Taiwanese companies to export to the United States.
Promote Central America's Fine Products
E-commerce is the most effective marketing approach today. Our office aids Central American companies in entering markets with the most potential not only in Taiwan, but also in Asia and the rest of the world.
